Cost for the Sessions

CBT-I is a multi-component treatment for insomnia.

Each session specifically focuses on what factors are causing the difficulties in initiating and maintaining sleep and we work collaboratively on effective interventions to resolve these.

Sleep education is a key element in therapy, especially on how we work with the two process model of sleep regulation and the use of sleep restriction to increase the homeostatic sleep drive helping to reduce the time it takes to fall asleep and the amount of time spent awake during the night. The component of stimulus control will help to pair the bed, bedroom, bedtime, with the conditioned response for sleep!

Sleep hygiene education will promote better sleep practices and cognitive therapy will work to change un-healthy sleep expectations that can perpetuate insomnia into healthy realistic beliefs about sleep.
